As you might guess, the day of the Indianapolis 500 is quite an occasion here in Indianapolis. There are people here from all over the world to see what is the biggest race in the world.
As luck would have it, the day dawned bright and beautiful, so I got up early and went downtown to take some pictures. I was also going to try to some "homework" for the
Photo Venture Camera Club here in Indianapolis. Currently, we have one of those public art displays of sculptures by
Tom Otterness. There are some interesting works scattered all around town and I wanted to get some pictures of the sculptures as well as some general pictures of downtown Indy.
I got some shots and got to talk to some really nice people from all over the country. It was a good morning.
