Boeing B-17
The Boeing B-17 was the most widely used bomber in World War II and is the bomber that we remember for that time. Although it was used all over the world, its most strategic mission was the daylight raids over Germany. This plane flew in in combat towards the end of the war and was found abandoned in France in 1978. The restoration of this plane to flyng condition took over ten years.
