Another of the many history lessons you get when you visit the Air Force Museum is this Northrop F-82B, which was the last propeller-driven fighter the Air Force bought in any kind of quantity. This plane looks like it's two P-51s bolted together, but it was a totally new design. Production of the plane didn't begin until 1946, after World War II had ended. It saw service in Korea.
